FAQ's Alberta Senior Masters Games
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE IN THE ALBERTA SENIOR MASTERS GAMES?
Participants Participants may qualify to participate in the Alberta Senior Masters Games in one of three ways: 1) 55 plus Association members qualify through attending a Zone Playoff organized by the Alberta 55 plus Association. 2) 55 plus Association members who have not attended a zone playoff may be accepted to fill vacancies or to be a replacement 3) Non members may be accepted during open registration 6 weeks prior to the Games, following the member registration deadline and pending available space Note: 55 plus Association members have first opportunity to secure a spot at the Games. Participant registrations will be accepted up to a maximum capacity in each sport, or until the final registration deadline. HOW DO I KNOW WHAT ZONE I'M IN? WHAT COLOUR IS MY ZONE?Alberta is divided into 8 Zones for the Alberta Senior Masters Games. WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY ALBERTA GAMES REGISTRATION FEE?
Competition Entry Fee
Welcome Dinner, Lunch on competition days, Friday evening banquet
Zone ID - apparel that identifies you as an Alberta Games participant
Participation in Ceremonies and other social events
WHERE DO I STAY WHEN I'M AT THE ALBERTA GAMES?
Participants are required to arrange their own accommodation (if required) while in the Host Community. Hotel/Motel or RV opportunities can be found here.
HOW DO I GET TO THE GAMES?Participants are responsible for their transportation to the Host Community. Ground and/or air transportation opportunities can be found here.
CAN I GO HOME WHEN MY SPORT IS FINISHED COMPETING?
Yes. All participants are encouraged to attend Opening Ceremonies and the Friday evening social banquet (included in games registration fee). However as some sports may finish on Saturday, participants are free to return home following the completion of their competition event.
HOW DO I REGISTER FOR THE ALBERTA SENIOR MASTERS GAMES?Those participating in the Alberta Senior Masters Games are required to complete the on-line Registration which includes a registration fee and Waiver of Liability and Release Form The Waiver indicates that you have read the Code of Conduct, and will abide by the rules of the Games. The Waiver must be signed by you the participant) and uploaded to your registration form or provided at In Person Registration upon arrival in the Host Community.
WHERE DO WE EAT WHILE WE ARE AT THE GAMES?The following meals will be provided as part of the participant registration fee
1. A welcome dinner will be served following In person Registration
2. Social banquet on the second evening
3. Lunches will be provided on two competition days for each participant at their competition venue.

For meals not provided, participants are encouraged to experience the local restaurants offered in the Host Community.
